Code of Conduct

Team Ronin Online Code of Conduct

These are the requirements for all Team Ronin Online members.

This team rests on two fundamental pillars: Honor and Knowledge.

HONOR  - A Ronin always competes honorably.  That is to respect the game, never taking advantage of hacks, cheats or unfair exploits.  That is to show respect towards the opposing force, and displaying professionalism at its finest to those in our presence.  Honor is a code equally shared amongst the Ronin and established with three distinct virtues: faith, loyalty and courage.  Faith in each other and the team.  Loyalty to each other and the team.  Courage against all odds.

KNOWLEDGE - Team Ronin Online is intertwined with a warrior culture that emphasizes expertise in all facets of war.  A Ronin studies strategy and tactics and their proper applications.  With every game comes familiar items of war, lethal instruments to achieve goals and accomplish tasks.  Mastery of all weapons with each and every game is a core responsibility for every Ronin.  The pathway to victory is only a quarter physical, while the remainder resides in the mind.

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF YOU

1. RESPECT – You not only represent yourself but the team.  Trash talking in other game and/or voice servers does no one any good, and Team Ronin Online will not tolerate disrespectful behavior towards our enemies nor to each other.

Never complain about conditions in game

Never blame your teammates for a loss, neither TRO and/or public-teammates

Never accuse anyone of hacking

Never complain about what you deem as “noobish” tactics, such as being eliminated by a grenade launcher, a camper, a machine gunner, or if your death is caused by anything or anyone else you deem as “noobish”.  If what they are doing is working, find a way to stop it.  Typing about it will not resolve the issue, nor will it do any good for your team.

Above all else never disrespect your fellow TRO members.

Working together is a core principle here.  If you have an issue with another member, take it up with the said member before discussing the issue with anyone else.  If the issue cannot be resolved then take it to the council.  If the council decides on a resolution, both parties are required to abide.  Important note: The situation should never get to the council in the first place.  It is YOUR problem. YOU handle it.

2. RESPECT THE RULES OF THE GAME – You must abide by the rules of our server and those you visit.  If you do not like the rules of the server you are in then leave.  Complaining in game chat or arguing with server administrators does not help anyone, and it will set Team Ronin Online in a negative light.

Never complain about the rules in a server, neither in TRO or another public server

Never knowingly or spitefully break a set rule that has been established in a server, neither in TRO or another public server.

3. A RONIN DOES NOT CHEAT – Use of hack programs, running background software to create lag, and/or using flaws in the game not intended by the developer (known as glitching) are not condoned here.  Violation is ground for immediate dismissal.

We will not tolerate anyone who hacks.

We will not tolerate anyone who runs background software with the intent of creating lag

We will not tolerate anyone who exploits a flaw or glitch in a game; that is a flaw or glitch in the map or terrain design and/or a flaw or glitch in weapon functionality, or any other flaw or glitch that allows for an unfair advantage over the enemy.

4. MAINTAINING COMPOSURE – If and when you are accused of hacking, running background programs to create lag, or exploiting a flaw or glitch in a game, you are never to verbally respond to the individual making the accusations; that is neither through text message or a microphone.  If and when you are called cheap or “noobish” for a weapon and/or the tactics you are implementing, do not respond to the individual making the accusation. Let the score at the end of the game do the talking.  Their main goal is to get a response out of you – and as you are typing, you are one less person out of the fight.  Never fall to the verbal devices of the enemy.  What can infuriate an enemy more than anything is when they are utterly ignored.

Never respond to anyone that falsely accuses you of an exploitation of any type

Never respond to anyone who calls you a slanderous name or a “noob”

Never respond to anyone who calls you cheap or “noobish” for a weapon you or using and/or the tactics you are using

Never respond to anyone that attempts to insult TRO or our clan as a whole

Let the score at the end of the game do the talking; allow your knowledge of the game and your skills to overcome the enemy’s accusations and muffle their cries.

5. LOYALTY – Bear true faith and allegiance in Team Ronin, its members, and the principles that uphold the team.  We expect you to be completely devoted to the team, and none other.  Loyalty is expected of you, but only through time is it proven.  A Ronin is expected and trusted to be accountable for their actions.

We will not tolerate anyone who participates in the corporate activities, and/or identifies themselves, and/or wears the tags of another clan, team, or squad.  You will not engage in what is known as multi-clanning.  You are in TRO solely, or you or completely separate.

6. MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

7. MUST BE MATURE MINDED

8. MUST HAVE A MICROHPONE FOR VOICE COMMUNICATION AND USE IT

9. MUST AGREE TO AND ABIDE BY THE CODE OF CONDUCT

And one more thing we feel the need to make clear.....
